UNWIND and BE JOVIAL

1.Cut the Hair According to Cash

A village boy came to a city for a holiday. He stayed with his relatives. His bushy hair had outgrown his head in dense form and so he wanted to be relieved of excess growth. He sought advice and went in search of a hairdressing saloon. At last he located one and reached the entrance.

He was reluctant to move forward. The exterior and interior of the shop was so well decorated that it presented a grand appearance. He had only one dollar with him. The owner of the shop who offered him a seat welcomed him. The boy waited for a while and observed others paying larger amount than he had brought.

Then he saw the dresser coming with a spray, a towel, another spray, powder and cream. In the end there was a cleaning operation using powder. All the time background music was on. The boy felt uneasy and out of place. Yet he wanted to fulfill his mission.

He asked himself.
"Can I afford to undergo all these operations? I don't have the money. Will I be kept as a hostge if I am unable to pay the full bill?"
He asked the dresser in advance
"How much will be the charges"

Assessing the frightened boy the Dresser answered.
"Boy, it is four dollars"
Boy. " Excuse me. I have only one dollar. Cut my hair within that budget".
The Dresser taking pity on him said. "Does not matter. I will do it in the normal way. You pay what you have".

The boy heaved a sigh of relief.
When his turn came he mounted the chair, with the happiness of one ascending a throne. He finished his job and happily left the place with a feeling he had an economy cut.

2.Hair Cut with Vengeance

An unclean rough burley-looking fellow went to a Hair Dresser (HD) for a haircut. He was denied entry. He filed a complaint against the rude behavior of the HD, with the local police with copies to all higher officials and the Minister. Each official in the hierarchy sent the paper with comments to the local Inspector of Police suggesting action against the HD. The Inspector met the HD and warned him of consequences if the service was not offered to the complainant. The HD asked the police inspector to send him. Accordingly the complainant went to the same shop again.

The HD got annoyed over the behavior of the client. In a fit of rage he mowed his head in the style adopted by a gardener mowing a lawn. This gave the appearance as if a rat invaded the client's head. The hair was sliced in a disorderly fashion. The victim was annoyed and he again complained to all high officials. The Minister became furious.

He asked the Inspector
" Why does the hair dresser behave in a nasty manner? What does he think of himself. Tell him he will be punished"

Inspector: "Sir, I have told him in the strongest language. He is incorrigible. He does the work up to his capacity. I find only one solution for this unique situation. I will learn hair cutting and treat the complainant."
The Minister laughed and the matter was not pursued.
